Ok so im on day 12 of my water fast. The last 3 days i have applied the Andre`s method of active fasting. Ive done weight lifting on 2 days, and also 2 times a day did the 5 cycle wich for me is.
1. Running up and down stairs till im tired and the pump is going
2. Dry brushing my skin esp the areas where i want to loose the fat, then massage all those areas, pinch them and evertything.
3. Take infrared sauna and sit there and sweat out alot
4. In a very very cold shower to cool down.

Fluid intake has been the same

So im doing everything right. The results from this 3 days.

Weight loss: 0
Fat loss: 0
Muscle gain: 0 ( I know because i keep track of my weight training and my strenght has gone a bit down since last time i trained wich is 2 weeks ago so thats natural and ofc im fasting)

I mean how is this possible? Am i the only one in the whole world that thermo dynamics doesnt apply to ? Also i havent even lost alot of weight during this whole process so i was for sure thinking that this would speed things up.

I have easy 20 lbs (10kg of fat) to loose and its not going anywhere, this is just crazy im on the brist of giving up. I just cant understand anything anymore. I weigh myself the same time every morning when i wake up after peeing.

When i sat in the sauna today i tasted that my sweat was salty, does this mean i have alot of salt in my body that has to come out or?

Please explain what is happening here before i go compltetely insane.

First things first.

How was the fat volume and muscle mass determined? The gold standard is underwater weighing.

The ONLY way you could survive this period of time without losing weight, is that (lightweight) fat was converted into (higher density) muscles. One kilogram of fat contains enough energy to build 2 kilograms of of muscle. Or partly that you were very dehydrated to start off, and now absorbed enough water (from what you drink or what your metabolism produce) to reverse this dehydration.

Often muscle contains a lot of fat inside of itself, amongst the contractile muscle fibers. With activity, this fat energy can be converted to muscle provided there are some amino acids available and these are abundant in the blood and tissue fluids.

i look myself in the mirror everyday and ofc i feel around my body where the fat is. Nothing has gone away.

muscle volume is ditermend on how im doing in the different exersices when i lift weights and also ofc mirror i can see.

i cant see any changes in my body, cant believe it

The weight should just by flying off me i cant understand it

If you look every day, dear Super, you are really unlikely to see any changes. Ask someone who haven't seen you for 2 weeks. And/or get the fat formally measured.

Also, the fat under the skin is but one compartment. The more dangerous fat is around your organs.

Plus, the ratio of white fat to brown fat is critical.

Bear in mind you are using a few thousand calories per day just to stay alive. It has to come from somewhere. If you can sustain yourself whilst losing very little weight, either you contain some nuclear reactor generating the energy or you are converting fat to lean tissue. Otherwise all the laws of Nature and science are invalid.

Ofc i have lost weight but not enough compared to what i do in terms of training and everything. I lost 0.5kg today or i weight myself on day 4 after the exersice etc and that was because of some less fluid inntake yesterday because my lips are dry. Just dont understand this game.

Doing so much and getting so litle in return. Im gonna continue to Saturday and will see. Anyway today i could see changes that i was getting slimmer even tho i just lost 0.5kg but as i said maybe its just because of dehydration. I slept 11 hours wich was really nice

Forgot to add. When one is clean, should the sweat taste more like water? like i said i dont eat any sald just the salt from the foods in fruit and greens when i eat ofc

It would be nice to do proper somatometric measurements to quantify the changes. Pity we don't have them at the start. I have seen, particularly in girls, a lot of measurement loss without so much weight loss, as the body gets more dense: Lipids (fat) have low densities and muscle considerably higher.

"Little in return" would be a contradiction if you found yourself in the real world a few thousand years ago and you were able to survive a famine this well! Do bear in mind, that's the time our genes were created and evolved.. a time when maintaining weight during famine was essential to survive - and pass on your genes.
