Hi again,

I'm on Day 3 of water fasting. I can't sleep. But otherwise, things are okay. I'll post on how things are going. As of this year, I fasted for about a week. And some more on and offs for a couple days here and there. If I don't do 21, I'm doing at least 10. But I'll see how I feel.

And just to note, I don't know if I can officially say that I've been on just water for the first couple days. I had light lemonade and diet orange soda. But I'm planning to stick to water now that I'm further into the fast.

Sleeping less often occurs with fasting. One of the first hormones to be released when you fast, is Adrenalin. It helps break down fat and keep you vigilant as, in Nature, fasting is often associated with periods of danger. But after some experience, many people actually sleep more during a fast. Your biorhythms also play a part.

Remember, any taste may just confuse your brain into thinking you are not fasting..
