Hi ricky,
Welcome and good luck with your fast! I'm glad you took measurements. I found them to be immensly helpful. If you add up the total inches and then take measurements periodically, you can record how many inches you will lose. Sometimes you learn more from the inches than from the scale. Best wishes.

Hi thank you lisa for welcome and good luck .
yes i agree measurements are very important to know how your body changes when we lose weight and keep you motivated .. my friends body structure is same as mine and he's fit so i took his measurements and my goal is to be at same measurements he is . :)

day 1 - It was very very hard day for me .. I thought of giving up all day . theyre were times when i gave up nd said my mom to make me something to eat and when she starts cooking for me i said to myself to stay strong its now or never or stay with guilt of failing nd i went to her and said no im not going to eat please dont make anything for me and this happened twice on first day so you can imagine how hard it was for me .. i was thinking about food all day .. other then that a little bit weakness not much . mouth was dry even if i drink water after 30 minutes again dry .. i drank 2 to 2.5 litre of water all day.
nd The thing i learnt from trying again nd again is that the more you eat on day before fasting the more difficult day one will be ..
example - if you gonna start fast on monday .. eat only breakfast on sunday and then nothing all day or if you feel hungry jus drink black coffee that will help you supress hunger .. If you do that your day one will be not as harsh as it wud be if you eat allot day before starting fast :)

Hey Ricky, how is your fast going? I think that is a good idea to have your friend's measurements so you will have a goal. Fasting is a great way to lose inches and burn fat, much better than crash dieting because once your body switches into ketosis (a couple days) it will be burning nearly all fat.

I'm curious. How old are you that your mom cooks for you? Does she support the idea of you fasting? I think you don't realize that you have a great opportunity to fast if you don't have any responsibilities for cooking for other people in your household. When I fast, I often have to cook meals for my family while still fasting. I can't imagine asking someone to cook something for me, and then saying, never mind, I changed my mind. Plus, if your mom doesn't agree with you fasting, she may try to convince you to eat, especially if she cooked something for you. I would decide today that if you break the fast, it is going to be with something that you will cook for yourself. Everyone can cook something, even if it is just peeling an orange, which is a good thing to use to break a fast. By choosing to prepare something yourself, it will give you a bit of a time buffer between when you feel the impulse to eat and when you actually eat. Sometimes, during that time buffer, the hunger feeling will go away. But if it doesn't go away, you will have to consciously decide that you are breaking the fast, rather than just giving in and eating something that someone else has cooked up for you.

For me, if I eat a lot the day before fasting, the first day I don't usually have to much trouble NOT eating because I can still feel what I ate in my digestive tract. Sometimes it's halfway through the day before I feel hungry.

By the way, I'm fasting Sunday and Monday along with you. I may go a little longer. It depends on my body weight and how I feel. I wanted to fast today, but ended up eating and so decided to postpone the fast until Sunday, and add in Monday.

Hey Lisa,
Im 20 years old. My mom is okay with fasting as far as im okey cuz she trust me nd i wont go to extreme fasting nd moreover she has seen me fasting for 2 days allot of time so she's okey with it now nd as far as im not having any problem .
yes it is advantage that im not cooking cuz it keeps you away from kitchen nd all temptations.

There's a bad news - I broke the fast on 3rd day not because of hunger because i had nothing to do all day nd every hour was like a day so i was continiusly thinking i have jus done 2 days still have to do 12 more days. time was very slow so i broke fast .. but i learn that from second day my hunger was gone i was sittin in kitchen while my mom is cooking nd i had no desire or craving for food i cud have done 14 days easily.

i didnt waste anytime nd now im doing 5 day dry fast :) im already 8 hours into it hopefully this time i will do it cuz slow time is not a problem now nd its jus 5 days nd 1 day of dry fast is equals to 3 days of water fast :)

Best wishes for your sunday and monday fast .
Thanks for your support and advice lisa :)
