Hi All,

I have decided to start a 14 day water fast to overcome unhealthy eating habits that include years of yo yo dieting. I have previously done a 7 day fast but binged on junk food when I broke it! Hence any benefits from that I ruined. I hope that this will be a fresh start into having a healthy relationship with food!
I am actually looking forward to the next two weeks!!

To some extent "yo yo" may not be all bad.. it helps you burn old tissues and replace them with new ones. But it does need to be controlled, and the best control I have so far found was the habit of weekly fasting, followed by 1-5 days of very healthy eating, one day (or one single meal) of "bingeing" just before the next fast. This allows for variety in your life as well as some "maneurverability" for your metabolism.

An isloated once-off fast has a tendency to be soon forgotten so although it is no doubt helpful, your efforts should not stop there. Please invest some time to read these forums, there's a lot of wisdom around!
