On August 26th I am having my gall bladder removed and plan to fast on water only for a few days after the procedure. I plan to lay down alot and if the weather is nice, I will lay down outside. I am wondering if anyone has had experience with fasting in order to heal from surgery. Any comments are welcome.

Hi Francie,

I have never had surgery but if i ever did i would openly embrace fasting as a powerful means by which to more swiftly and thoroughly recover from the event.

Have you ever considered doing a liver/gall bladder flush before taking the drastic step of having surgery.

I have personally known 2 people who were able to avoid surgery by doing this.

Dr. Frank McCoy has the protocol in his book The Fast Way To Health. He has two case histories as well.

If you do decide to have the surgery, fasting afterwards should speed recovery time.

Hi Esmee,

I agree with you wholeheartedly on this and had the same thoughts when i saw the original post. Unfortunately Francie's surgery was scheduled for Aug 26.

I had my gall bladder removed many years ago, laporiscopically, and have never regretted it.

I also was up and walking within hours of surgery. Laying on your back is actually not recommended.
