Hi all,

In my fasting experiments earlier in teh year I did very dangerous things by eating very little and not drinking many liquids, I caused myself severe ulcers and no medicine s helping. Some fasting websites say that fasting will help with ulcers but I dont think I can do a 30 day water fast last time I did water fast I got to 11 days and I was so weak and my mental health started getting affected. I do know that water fasting stopped my digestive juices completely, so I am considering a 3 day water fast followed by juicing. Will juice fasting keep my digestive juices stopped? What is the best course of healing for ulcers. Thank you.

I developed some really bad intestinal ulcers from a medicine I was taking. I active fasted for about 40 days, but not consecutively and over about 3 months, and in between fasting days only ate once a day, like the Fast-Five diet plan, except I ate within a two hour window. My ulcers went away totally and I've never had them again, even though I still take that medicine.
I noticed relief from ulcer pain about 3 or 4 days into the fast. I was active fasting, so I was probably in ketosis at around 48 hours or so. That might make a difference, but you should definitely consult Dr. Kruger. He certainly helped me! -jim

Jim's quite right. ANY taste will stimulate acid formation in the stomach. Only real fasting will switch it off. Plus, if you do NOT eat at pre-set times, your biological clock will not make acid just because it is "Time".. but will learn to wait for food before making acid.

Not mixing liquids with solids in your eating pattern also helps a bit..
