Here is a quickie article published online yesterday by Scientific American referencing a study published in the journal of Nature:

I have posted the original article on the Hoogland Health Hydro's notice board several years ago and often refer to it in my lectures ever since. It forms part of our philosophy. One way to slow down the aging process.

Many thanks for the reference to the new publication. I have left some comment there under my nom de plume, Qreur.

This is really good! It is fascinating to see how one can blindly talk at cross purposes to protect one's imaginary territory (referring to the original threads)... and clearly some people are so attached to food and three meals a day that it would not even occur to them to take even a moment to look at the alternatives. This kind of attitude is what is holding us all back!

As for anorexic cat walkers, could one not assume that they are semi-fasting as they must be on a calorie-restricted diet?

Oh! I get it now we need to start a new topic: calorie restriction versus intermittent fasting

Thanks for giving us your nom de plume I am tempted to copy those threads and post them somewhere on the forum.
