Hey everyone!
I'm about to start my third week of intermittent fasting. Currently, I've been fasting on Mondays (Including the night before and the night after Monday) and on Wednesday and Thursday (starting the night before Wednesday, and ending around the same time on Thursday evening). It has been going pretty well thanks to the support from this forum.

I've been feeling much more in control of my eating. I have found the motivation of how clean and healthy I feel while fasting really helps me make better food choices. I don't want to pollute my body since I've been allowing it to cleanse away all the bad stuff.

My goals are a little bit of weight loss plus more control over my eating habits and to create a habit of fasting at least once a week that I hope I will always continue.

Anyone else interested in intermittent fasting? It's not quite as sexy as announcing a 40 day fast but for anyone who is intimidated or not ready to do a longer fast, I'd love to have you join me in some weekly intermittent fasting. We can encourage each other.

B) Late morning on my one day fast. I've decided to do this one dry. I feel a little bloated, like something that I ate yesterday didn't agree with me. The sun is shining where I live but it is deceptive because it's pretty cold. Since a fast doesn't really start until 24 hours since you're last meal, I'm not really fasting. I've been thinking of fasting a little longer, like maybe putting the three days this week that I want to fast together, but I'm not sure. It is harder to fast when there are groceries in the house. My kids are always eating something and it makes me hungry to see other people eat, sometimes.

You sound like you are doing well. I'm doing a daily IF of 14-18 hours daily but would like to do 40 hours once a week as well. Snacking on the kids food is a downfall but in the right frame of mind it isn't so hard.

@Mystic,
I am doing well, just starting day 6 of a water fast. I don't know why but I had the motivation to go through with it...well, I had a friend that was fasting with my up until yesterday and we were encouraging each other, so that helped get me through the hump. This fast was only bad the first day, but it was awful. I did the first day completely dry to accelerate ketosis, and it was effective as I had small ketones the first night. After that I was amazed at how well the fast was going. There are other things going so well in my life right now, though, so that may be part of why my fast has been so successful.
