Hi danielle nice to see you back again! its really simple 010 is a fun way of saying alternate day fasting. It is simply the binary expression of no yes no. no = fast day yes = eating day. :)

David!!

WOW, 60 days 0-1-0'ing!!! Incredible! You truly are adapted by now! You are a different species now my friend!!

I read a study that indicates that we can adapt to chronic fasting - it has to do with cicardian rhythm regulation - that means, the more often you do it, the easier and more natural it becomes. The expression of our clock genes change!

Also, the light-dark clock and feeding times when IF'ing (e.g. narrower feeding window - 1 meal a day) has a lot to do with energy expenditure, metabolism, alertness and hunger rhythms we can adapt to.

"In mammals, the central circadian clock is located in the suprachiasmatic nuclei (SCN), a distinct bilateral group of cells located in the anterior hypothalamus in the brain. Similar clock oscillators have been found in many peripheral tissues, such as the liver, intestine, heart, adipose tissue, retina and in various regions of the brain"
"Intermittent Fasting resets circadian rhythms in the peripheral clocks and the SCN. The synchronized, robust circadian rhythms could be the mediator through which these feeding regimens lead to aging attenuation and life span extension."

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC283...pdf/aging-02-007.pdf

yeiiii here, here to a longer and wrinkle-free life!

I am curious, have you or other 0-1-0'ers experienced any permanent weight loss at all?

Free sorry I missed this post. No this current group has now moved to the Monthly Themed Fast Group where you will find several site members who practice intermittent fasting. Good luck and hope to see you around.
