I'm on day 6 of my water fast I have not had bad detoxing and I'm doing great not even having the dizziness I get at about day 4 yet. But something very weird is happening that has not happened to me before. I'm have bowl movements almost like diarrhea. It seem to be a very weird brown orange color and become really yellow when I flush. I have had it every morning from day 4. I don't seem to get it during the day. Any ideas on this ?

Yellow often indicates bile. It may be that your gut has been able to move the bile down instead of re-absorbing it as often happens during a fast. But also bear in mind that the gut replaces its lining when you fast and this can also come down in this manner.

Hay LadySphinx,

I’m on my 8th day and have the same thing. It’s not very unusual to have a brownish-yellowish liquid with brown clumps for me, but what IS unusual is to have BM 3-4 days in the row even twice a day sometimes.

I think it is great. First of all, as Andre said, toxins/bile… whatever it is not getting reabsorbed back. Another thing is that hard cork will not form in the colon. I’ve had a problem braking one of my long fast. It was very painful.

I’ve noticed that I lose more weight when I have BM for some reason. Also headache I usually get on 3rd-4th day of fast are gone and I feel great give or take minor pains and aches, which to be expected. I feel that it’s a sign on efficient detox taking place.

Easy fasting to you and all.

not going to lie, i've been having some of that too!! i also assumed that it was bile, it certainly looks, smells and burns that way, sorry tmi. Im not concerned for myself as any movement i have while fasting is most welcomed as a sign of unnecessary things being released. keep going, your a star! :cheer:

IF you wish to know if this is bile, you can of course have it tested in a lab or with a (urine) dipstick. Bile will be very alkaline, and many dipsticks have pads on them for Bilirubin and Urobilinogen.. variants of bile salts.
