Fasting to get rid of nail fungus

Hello. I'm on day 24 of a water only fast and feeling quite well. I walk 2 hours a day and try to get plenty of sun. I am plagued with a nasty nail fungus and at a loss how to prevent this. In fact upon visiting the foot doctor he suggested it might be my diet, a high fruit diet. Bearing that in mind I'm thinking of changing my diet to a low glycemic diet, plenty of veggies and lean game meats. Has there been any studies on fasting and starving this nasty fungus! Thank you for your knowledge and time. Elizabeth

Fungi, dear Bestestbetty, can generally not tolerate sunlight. But they embed themselves in the nails where they are protected. Bear in mind that toenails can take up to 18 months to replace themselves, so if there's an embedded fungus then you need up to 2 years of treatment even if the treatment works quite well.

I am not aware of specific studies but I don't get these fungi... perhaps because of the weekly fast.
