Hi
Thank u for this gr8 website . I have been fasting my whole life every once in a while for religious reasons. And i always felt refreshed and full of life after that.Only recently i found out about health benefits of it, i can say that i am not suprised even though i had no idea

But my question is, can water fasting help me recover my c section faster. I had a baby via c section a week ago. Next week(i will b 2 weeks) i am going to my sister's wedding . It would be nice to be free and pain free on that day. Is it okay for me to water fast immediately, or should i ruther wait , if i should wait, how long after c section can i start fasting to clean up of all those drugs from c section, and for weight loss?

And welcome with your first post dear Lee.

Indeed I have seen all and sundry scars heal better, quicker and with less scar tissue during a fast. Operations done DURING a fast leaves least scars. You can start immediately! But please also do elimination cycles so that your scars do not retain some of these.

Why the scars heals better is because during a fast you heal your wounds with HUMAN protein (not plant or animal) and since this is more compatible with yourself, it fits in better. I have seen this particularly in plastic surgery, which is the one intervention that causes the biggest surgical "wounds". You only need a few grams of protein (if so much) to repair the wounds. There's MORE than enough "in stock" in your serum and tissue fluids.

Best time to start a fast is BEFORE surgery... with a baby inside I guess you'd not feel comfortable but please, there's no reason to wait.

Any residual scar tissue not eliminated by fasting can also be reduced further (if not completely dissolved) by supplementing with serrapeptase when you are not fasting, though it should be taken on an empty stomach.

Johnson and Johnson also produce a "Scar Reduction Plaster" with which I have found some excellent results. For fully formed scar tissue, there are injections such as steroids as another option.

@ Doc - Don't steroids compromise the immune system?

Steroids, dear Loquat, is part of the balance of the body.. that's why it's made by several organ systems. The immune system, like an army, needs "checks and balances" else it would be utterly destructive. A lot of our diseases are indeed caused by the immune system, in which case(s) suppressing it a bit can be part of the cure. Indeed in some instances it can be life saving.

Steroids on the skin or in a limited setting such as in the nose or the lungs has a local effect with very little systemic absorption, thus not suppressing the immune system as a whole too much.

All a bit complicated... all of the available medical science still don't understand it all...

All very true, except your earlier post referred to injections rather than topical application. But yes, the whole subject (immunology) is very complex indeed, and a discipline in its own right.
