I wanted to share my weight loss so far. I've been fasting intermittently since June. I fast anywhere from 24 hours to 60 hours at a time. Usually it is about 36 hours....finish eating in the evening and then one full day fasting...then eat the next morning.
Doing this approximately once per week, I have lost 39 lbs. I have more to go and will get there. My goal is 010 regimen but I haven't been able to do that yet. I'm happy with what I've been able to do. I have tried to lose weight for many years. Finding this site and reading all that Dr. Andre has posted has given me hope and the knowledge to do this. I remember my first fast. I couldn't believe I could do it! I was so amazed with myself. If you're reading this and are where I was in June? Try it. Baby steps is what has worked for me.
Thank you Doctor Andre!

Elizabeth,

Congratulations. I've been doing a mix of 5:2 and 4:3 over the past few months. I want to get to a 3:4, but I haven't been able to do that yet. But I'll eventually get there. Keep up the great work. :)

Hi Elizabeth
For years I stayed slim and fit because I only ate once a day in the evening, I would go all day without even thinking of food.
But a year after the death of my Wife to cancer, I acquired a live in girlfriend with two young children, and lost my once a day feeding habit, in the course of the next year and a half I went from 66kilos to 74 and was totally unfit and disgusted in myself, so I went on several fasts, 4 day and then 6 day and finally 10days I am now down to 68kilos but not that fit, I am returning to my once a day eating habit, which should be easier now, as finally my girlfriend realizes that it is good for me and no longer tries to tempt me into eating with her and the kids.
Time for an exercise program to get back to fitness again, something I have learned is that for slim people exercise is easy and enjoyable fun, exercise for overweight people is horrible torture.
Wishing you good IF results
Stuart
