Hello everybody! Before I begin I just want to say that this forum is awesome! And you are all awesome as well! ;)

Got a new fast coming up, starting saturday next week. Since my last fast, who lasted 3 days, went so well I'm now going for at least 4 days. So I have this coming week to prepare. Anyone got any preparation tips?

Hello Thomas and thank you for your positive comments. Well I would recommend that you avoid all forms of stress during your fast and The Fast Doctor would recommend that your last meal be composed of fatty foods which don't have to be meat based. I would also stock up on quality water in glass bottles and even carbonated water which can help the hunger pangs. Wishing you success and I look forward to your updates

Okay, so the fast is started. 10 hours in now, and feeling fine. Some hunger feelings, but not really that bad. Feels like I can distinguish habit hunger from real hunger by now. I believe this is going to go just fine. :)

Anyways, updates will come as the fast goes on.

50 hours in now. Yesterdays headaches has disappeared, thank God. The only issue now is feeling a bit weak. The hunger isn't really that bad. All in all it's going pretty well.

hey Kutso, so good to see you're back. Sorry to see that no one responded. Is it your day 5 or did you do 3 days as you wished?

Re. fatty meal. The fast doc recommends having eggs (yolks) before fasting. I used to eat coconut with dark chocolate on those nights when I wanted to have a sweet ending..

Re. headache. Do you do elimination cycles? They help, I promise. I haven't had a headache since I religiously follow the doc's elimination routine. On 1st fast day, you jump out of the bed and do 1 elimination cycle as a prevention.

Hey Shant! Thank you for your response.

I ended the fast yesterday morning. I held out for 4 days, just as I had planned, though it was pretty close that I ended it prematurely. I was having a huge urge for food on the forth day and especially on the evening of the forth day. I was feeling really weak too.

I did eat a lot of eggs the day before, though it was the whole egg. But you mean that one could do the yolks as a last fatty meal? Most of the proteins is in the white?
I did a smoothie containing avocado, cream, some olive oil and some butter for the last meal this time. I wanted to avoid proteins and carbs as much as possible.

About the elimination cycle; I have done those. Only in the evening though, so maybe I should try them in the morning next time. But I fear that I might not have the energy to be able to perform it that early. But I will try.

The headache was actually only present on the 2nd day. When I awoke on the 3rd day, it was all gone!

I would say that the worst days of this fast was the 2nd day because of the headache, and the 4th day because of the weakness felt.

Next time (which will be in a months time) I will try five days. :-)

Well, it's not that egg whites contain slightly more protein that egg yolks, it's because they don't have any fat.. thus, if you eat whites as well you decrease your fat ratio in one meal :). The fast doc recommends eating eggs to get the cholesterol going. I actually thought that eating eggs helps to increase good cholesterol. I like your smoothie!

Better sometimes than never. I guess your TST clock is set up for evening exercise, right? :)

I see about the eggs there. I will try egg yolks as a last meal as well next time. Though I don't think I will eat them raw. Raw eggs are not that beneficial actually.

My smoothie was good, yeah. But I couldn't down it all. It became too much after a couple couple of sips. :)

I mostly train in the evening, yes. I'm strongest in the evening. :)
