Dear Fastingconnect,

I have some questions regarding a fast i am on at the moment andi would like to discuss with you and i would very much
appreciate it if i could have some responses and feedback from people with
experience with my kind of situation.

Here are the details of the fast.
I am on a 48 day water fast. It has been on distilled water solely and I've taken a lot physical rest air and sun.
My weight was about 74 kilo's at the start and at the moment it at about 53 kilo.
My age is 23 and my lenght is 1.86. My diet 1 year before the fast consisted a lot of fruit, veggies and nuts.
Before that it was a regular western diet, which also contained these food but in lesser degree.
The experience has been good so far and i feel good.



I have two questions:

1.
The question i have is regarding how long it would take for me to reach the
point of natural hunger and the other symptoms that will manifest when the body
is giving the signals to start eating again.

The list im mindful of are:
-natural hunger
-clean tongue and breath
-clear eyes
-light and not smelly urine
-light goof energetic feeling
-good pulse temperature etc..

Are there any more that this that I could pay attention to?
And how long you think?

2.
My most important question. I'm being tested for electrolytes/mineral levels in the blood.
MY question is; is there a possibility that due to the fast these levels can differ from the standard levels?


Any other advice and tips is most appreciated.
I'm hopin you guys can help me with your experience and give me some insights.

First, I wanted you to know that as Moderator I deleted two of your duplicate posts. (I checked carefully and the text in your post above was identical to the other two. If I have made an error I will gladly reinstate the posts.)

Secondly, I can only give you my experience as it applies to one part of one of your questions. I recently finished a forty-two day no-food fast, and truth be told, the hunger did not return. I know this to be certain at least in my case. I was not one bit hungry by day forty-two. I believe that one would have to go much longer than this to reach such a stage, and I don't believe that that would be very wise to do. And since I doubt I will have any reason to extend any future fasts beyond six weeks, I don't think I can answer you precisely.

I will defer to Andre (The Fast Doctor) for additional information on this and with regard to your other questions.

Hi Ockeghem. thanks for the deletion, i couldn't find the deleftion buton myself. i thought it would be wise to post in multiple categories initially but then realised it wouldn't be neccesary.
i was hoping to get answer for my question because i'm wondering wether i should be continuing my fast.

I know some people do 3 contentious fasts. 40 days fasting, 40 off, 40 fasting again and so on... I think it would be so much easier on the body, then going more then 40 days at once.

I love hearing no hunger returned. I find when I don't eat, even for a day or two, I'm not hungry. Has anyone heard of Breatharians? Just curious...

Also, what motivates people to go back to a "normal" life of eating. I think, part of my attraction to fasting, is no longer having to do the things that go along with eating. Digestion, bathroom, showering, brushing teeth...not to mention having that extra energy from food and figuring out how to use it.

Just some topics I think about.
