90 day fast (45 water and 45 juice)?

I want to fast off my last 90 lbs with a 90 day fast. Just not sure how to go about. I'm 2 days into the fast, and drinking just water. Should I do 45 days water followed with 45 juice, or the reverse? Maybe juice one day and water the next, and so on?

Check out the videos of Angela Stokes and Clent Manich in the video section on this site. They both lost awesome amount of weight on juices and green smoothies. I personally would not recommend a 45 day water fast. 30 days is probably fine, assuming your electrolytes remain stable (should be checked 1-2 times per week. Then you could juice for a week or two and then maybe the green smoothies or a low-fat raw vegan diet to support your body's continuing weight loss process.

Esmee, Thanks! I'll check it out. I'm having blood tests to check for any nutritional imbalances every Tuesday and Friday at the clinic. My first was last Friday before starting and all looked very good. I have another today at 3:00 this afternoon. Yesterday I bought a new blood pressure monitor, glucose meter kit, and ketone strips to use for my fast too. Also thanks for the advice. I understand the concern you have on such a long fast, but am still set on just the water and juice for 90 days. Promise I'll stop short if something goes wrong at any time.

I'm on a 30 day fast, ending in a week's time. Planning to do another month on juice fast, letting my body recover a bit, but still stay on a semi-fast for the period.

Hi Fasting90,

Nice idea and fine goal :). I like esmee's point about 30 days being a generally safe threshhold for water-only, but also since you are being tested twice a week you may have more liberty to safely go longer. My belief is that however many days you decide to go with water-only, you should ideally not alternate frequently between water and juice. It is much more beneficial to get into a long uninterrupted water-only fast to allow your body to coast in autolysis/ketosis utilizing only it's internal resources and not being distracted from that. This might mean 45/45 or 30/30/15/15 or some other combination of long stretches. Best wishes.

I just finished a 30-day water only fast. I thought about going to 45 days, but I felt starvation from about 28 days-extreme hunger, but decided to hold out until the last day.
Now I'm just having juice and soft fruits, my energy is coming back, and getting some long distance runs in.
It's made me very lean and thin, as I've got some energy to play with, the time will be spent working out and getting my body used to low intake/high intensity, still keeping hungry for another month.

I wouldn't mind to do a 45/45, but I reckoning I have to be more determined to go past my current mark.

Mighty Sun Tzu, thank you. I'm still doing plain water just starting day 19. I really like your idea for longer stretches between alternating. Think that's what I'm going with.

10 days into the sort of liquid/juice fast. It's quite surprising though how the body adapts to a lean times lifestyle.
Considering I've not ate solid foods for well over a month, and almost two weeks into juice, it feels like I can go on forever.
Been running, plus swimming, and apart from my body getting leaner, I hardly ever feel hunger, although I know I'm on the line. I thought about keeping with juice, then fruit diet only, then back to full fast in a couple months or so, repeating the process.
