According to Stephan Harrod Buhner (and no other source that i was able to find in about 45 minutes of searching), our glycogen stores which are depleted in the first couple days of fasting are restored once we are in ketosis. Is this indeed true and does anybody have any specific information (preferably which includes good sources) on how exactly this works? His excellent article is found here:

gaianstudies.org/articles4.htm

Also, how many days into the fast would it typically take to fully replenish this glycogen? The body somehow knows not to use the replenished glycogen at this point as it continues to metabolize fairly small amounts of protein to obtain the minimally necessary glucose for functions that ketones can not perform?

Much thanks :).
